Four simple steps
Tell us what you need
Choose your tea, loose leaf (4-6 serves) or 4 pyramid teabags, your quantity from 100 screw can minis, and upload your design / artwork with your enquiry. Volume pricing rewards larger orders.
Approve your sample
For an important order we recommend a sample. Tick the sample option on the enquiry form and we will send a payment link for the $20 (including GST) sample fee, which is credited back when you order. We make and dispatch your sample within 2 working days, so you can see and approve it before production begins.
Pay your deposit
Once you are happy with your sample, we send a secure POLi payment link for a 30% deposit, payable by credit card or bank transfer. Production starts when your deposit is received.
We hand pack and dispatch
Our Petone team hand packs your order. The balance is due on dispatch and we will send you a payment link for it.

About our pyramid teabags. Our pyramid teabags, including the tag and string, are made from NeoSoilon®, a woven mesh of polylactic acid (PLA). PLA is a plant based material made from non-GMO sugar cane, and these bags contain no nylon or polypropylene. The mesh is made to international compostability standards and suits commercial composting best. See the frequently asked questions below for the detail.

Nothing is charged when you submit an enquiry. After you approve your sample, we send a secure POLi payment link for a 30% deposit, which you can pay by credit card or bank transfer. Yes. Upload your design or artwork with your enquiry and our team will apply it to the screw can label. You can approve it on a sample before we start production.
Our pyramid teabags, including the tag and string, are made from NeoSoilon®, a woven mesh of polylactic acid (PLA). PLA is a plant based material made from non-GMO sugar cane, and the manufacturer states the mesh is certified by the Non-GMO Project. The bags contain no nylon or polypropylene, and each bag is sealed with pressure and heat, with no added adhesive. PLA melts at around 170°C, well above the temperature of boiling water. You can read the manufacturer details here.
Yes, in the right conditions. The mesh meets the European standard EN 13432, ISO 17088 and ASTM D6400, which means at least 90% of its weight breaks down within 180 days in commercial composting at around 58°C. Home compost does not usually get hot enough for this, so we recommend a commercial composting service if your local council offers one. In soil or water the manufacturer says the mesh takes around three years to break down.
We make and dispatch your sample within 2 working days of receiving your sample payment, and courier time is additional. Production time for the full order depends on quantity and is confirmed with you when you approve your sample. Add your required by date to the enquiry and we will let you know what is achievable.
Yes. Volume pricing applies from 100 screw cans upward, with savings increasing at 250, 500 and 1,000+ units. For orders of 1,000 or more, enquire for custom pricing.
Yes. We hand-pack every order at our Petone warehouse and ship throughout Wellington and nationwide across New Zealand.
