Description
Located at the foot of the Himalaya Mountains, Steinthal was founded by a German missionary as the first tea garden in Darjeeling in 1852. The slightly twisted Sinensis leaf brews a cup which is full-bodied with a muscatel flavour and has a delicately flowery scent.
Brewing
Pre-heat a cup or teapot. Use 1 tsp per cup or 1 rounded tsp per person for a teapot. Pour freshly boiled water over the leaves and infuse for 3-5 minutes. Add milk or sweetener as desired.
